Felix Tataru, a communication expert and successful entrepreneur, is the Chairman and President of the International Advertising Association (IAA) - the world’s largest communication industry association, representing advertisers, media, agencies and educators across more than 70 countries. As the youngest ever Chairman and President at the IAA, Felix and his team are committed to supporting and inspiring the industry to better navigate change.

He is also founder of GMP Group, the most awarded independent communication group in the Romanian market.

IAA Romania Chapter – where it all began

In 2006, while President of IAA Romania, Felix initiated a number of successful initiatives that contributed to the development of the Romanian communications industry: setting up the IAA School and organizing the IAA European Summit in Bucharest, leading a successful bid by the IAA Chapter to organize Effie Awards in Romania, Romanian Chapter’s win at the IAA Excellence Awards – are a few examples. As a result, in 2008 IAA Romania Chapter was recognized during the IAA Worldwide Congress in Washington, DC for its role in furthering the industry within the global IAA community

GMP Group – the most awarded independent group

Over the last 17 years, Felix and his partners have founded a group of companies specialized in advertising, digital communication, public relations, public affairs and branding. GMP Group is the most awarded independent group for efficiency and creativity in a number of festivals including the Effie Awards Romania, Internetics, PR Awards, Golden Drum, Cannes Lions, Sabre Awards, European Excellence Awards, Eurobest.

Political strategist

Felix offered political consultancy to both the former Romanian President, Traian Basescu in all his election campaigns, and the current President, Klaus Iohannis.

Personal life

Parents of two children, Felix and his wife Nadia are highly committed to create a safe and inspiring learning environment for parents and children alike. In 2005, Felix and Nadia launched the world’s first radio station for parents and children - Itsy Bitsy – airing from Bucharest.
